Who is Zoe Schwartz?
Zoe Schwartz is a self-taught artist who currently lives and works in the East Village, Manhattan. Her purpose has and always will be to bring light into the world; to create, to wonder, to make others wonder, to bring about a better understanding of life’s virtues through the universal language of art that can connect us all in a beautiful and spiritual way.
Zoe started painting when she was 2 years old. Her parents brought her up in a creative environment where drawing and painting were part of a daily routine. Art became something of a second nature to her.
“The happiest of days were those spent creating- little books, little clay figures, colorful depictions of happy families and animals that would dance in my head. My imagination has and always will be extremely close to my heart. As I grew older, school and the pressures of everyday life had eaten away at the artist in me.”
Zoe Schwartz went to school at University of New Hampshire, where she studied Civil Engineering for 3 years, then made the decision to drop it all and move to New York City.
Moving to NYC
“The stimulation and artistic energy of the city has brought back the artist in me. I am 21 years old and I have now found myself completely immersed in a motivation beyond anything I’ve ever envisioned. I currently paint and draw every single day and can’t even begin to imagine all the amazing creations I have in store for the future. My passion has developed into something that shapes who I am now and what I aspire to be.”
