There has been a remarkable increase in the number of music festivals hosted worldwide and this really requires existing or long-term festivals to step up their game. Glastonbury Festival did just that with their latest line-up announcement. The great smiles that we experienced when we saw that the line-up was out quickly faded into blank expressions and that was purely as a result of the sheer magnitude of the line-up and who was featured on it.
Metallica, Kasabian and Arcade Fire are headlining this year’s Glastonbury Festival and we’re going to list other noteworthy acts. Our list is made up of Jack White, The Black Keys, James Blake, Massive Attack, Skrillex, Disclosure, Lykke Li, MGMT, M.I.A., HAIM, Sam Smith, Lana Del Rey, Foster the People, Warpaint, Chromeo, Mogwai, CHVRCHES, Danny Brown, Phosphorescent, Jamie xx, Chance the Rapper, Goldfrapp, tUnE-yArDs, London Grammar, The 1975, Bonobo, Kelis, Rudimental, Metronomy, The War on Drugs, John Wizards and many more.
We can’t even imagine what sort of clashes you’ll see in the scheduling and that’s the only thing that makes us feel better after seeing this line-up. Glastonbury Festival 2014 takes place June 27th – 29th in Pilton, UK. Tickets to the festival are already sold out, so if you’re part of the unlucky many then you’ll have to settle for live streams of performances.
